§ Mr. Smedley Crookeasked the Minister of Transport what is causing the delay in commencing the improvements on the trunk road east of Haltwhistle, Northumberland, which, if proceeded with, would find work for a number of unemployed, a considerable proportion of whom are ex-service men whose physical condition through unemployment has been reconditioned by the efforts of the British Legion?
Colonel Brownasked the Minister of Transport when work is likely to start on the east-to-west trunk road in the neighbourhood of Haltwhistle?
