Mr. Steelasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his Department was invited to attend the conference on the reform of British immigration law at Somerville College, Oxford from 1 to 3 July.
Mr. WaddingtonThe Department was asked to send official representatives to the conference, at which, it was 141W said, it was hoped to begin laying the basis on which a future Government could introduce new immigration policies. This invitation was declined.
