HC Deb 19 November 1928 vol 222 cc1410-2W
Mr. MARDY JONES

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the Ordnance Survey Department is about to begin the revision of the one-inch map of England and Wales; whether the proposed new map is to be replotted and redrawn for reproduction by the process known as heliozincography; and, if so, is it intended to take this opportunity to restore the traditional style of lettering and decorating, which is both more artistic and more readable than the style of lettering and decoration adopted increasingly ever since the eighteenth century?

Mr. GUINNESS

The reply is in the affirmative.
