§ Sir W. de FRECEasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, when egg marking comes into force, steps will be taken whereby purchasers of foreign eggs marked "new laid" can be assured that these have not, been for six months in cold storage?
Mr. GUINNESSThe answer is in the negative. Under the Agricultural Produce (Grading and Marking) Act of last Session, foreign cold-stored eggs will not be required to bear an indication of storage. I have, therefore, no power to take the steps referred to by my hon. Friend.
