HC Deb 10 December 1928 vol 223 cc1741-2W
Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is now satisfied that the position is improved regarding the granting of leave to non-commissioned officers of the Indian Army Ordnance Corps; and whether the regulations whereby non-commissioned officers are eligible for 12 months' leave after six years' service abroad are now being duly carried out?

Earl WINTERTON

The Government of India took steps last summer to provide the full leave reserve necessary to enable these non-commissioned officers to take the leave to which they are entitled, and ensured that the full complement could take leave during the present trooping season.
