HC Deb 05 April 1928 vol 215 cc2140-1W
Viscount SANDON

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether the Government have accepted the proposals of the Canadian Government as to the settlement of 20,000 British families near railways, and with free supervision for a year?

Captain MARGESSON

I have been asked to answer this question. My Noble Friend has no doubt been misled by a misprint or error in transmission in a Press telegram regarding a Pioneer Scheme now under negotiation for 2,000 (not 20,000) families in Northern Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
