HC Deb 24 February 1927 vol 202 cc1926-7W
Mr. T. THOMSON

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that medical officers of health at Sheffield, Southport, and other towns, have reported that severe reactions have occurred through vaccination or revaccination, especially of adults; and on what grounds a representative of his Department has suggested to the medical officers of health that a different method of vaccination from that prescribed in the vaccination order should be adopted, and only one insertion of vaccine lymph be made in stead of four?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I understand that severe reactions following vaccination have been reported at Sheffield and other towns, but I am not aware that any representative of my Department has made the suggestion mentioned in the last part of the question.
