HC Deb 09 March 1926 vol 192 cc2126-7W
Mr. SANDEMAN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, how the work on the renovations of the House is progressing; and when he expects the work to be finished?

Captain HACKING

Nothing is being done at present beyond handpicking, to prevent danger from falling masonry. The actual repairs to the stonework will not be undertaken until the policy to be adopted has been fully considered, and an estimate has been submitted to the House.
