§ Major GLYNasked the Postmaster-General whether greater publicity can be 1567W given to the night telegraph and telephone facilities than the Regulations now permit for sending messages at reduced rates, both within the British Isles and to the Continent, by clearly printed card notices at all post offices and for exhibition at railway station telegraph offices?
§ Viscount WOLMERInformation as to the reduced charges for trunk telephone services at night has been brought from time to time to the notice of telephone subscribers by means of leaflets enclosed with their accounts. The information is also printed in the preface of every telephone directory; while at call offices it is clearly shown on the charge lists exhibited there. For the general public information as regards both the telegraph and telephone facilities is contained in the Post Office Guide. The question of providing at post offices notices giving fuller information as to the reduced rates for Inland and Continental trunk calls and for telegraph facilities at night is receiving consideration.
