asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty the total number of persons, men and women, employed at the Royal Dockyard, Portsmouth, on 1st January, 1923, 1st January, 1924, and 1st July, 1924, the total number of ex-service men employed on these dates, and the number of disabled ex-service men employed on these dates?

asked the Parliamentary Secretary- to the Admiralty whether any employés at the Royal Dockyard, Portsmouth, are working on part-time and, if so, how many; and whether any overtime is being worked at this dockyard and, if so, in what departments, and the numbers of employés engaged on this work?

Mr. HODGES

The only employés in Portsmouth Dockyard who are not working full time are 29 women workers who are employed cleaning offices, etc. About 600 workmen are employed on overtime, and I will, with the hon. and gallant Member's permission, circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT particulars as regards the numbers in the several departments. About 75 per cent. of the overtime is of a permanent character for routine services. The numbers in the several departments are as follow:
