HC Deb 27 February 1924 vol 170 c505W
Sir B. SHEFFIELD

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been drawn to the letter addressed to the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs by the chairman of the Mexican Railway concerning the recognition of the Mexican Government by Great Britain; and what the Government propose to do in the matter?

Mr. PONSONBY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; the British representative in Mexico has been asked for his observations on the matter. I would also refer to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave on the 18th February to questions on the subject of the recognition of Mexico.
