Mr. J. W. WILSON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the relief goods sent to Russia by the British famine relief organisations are reaching their destinations safely; and whether satisfactory reports of the results of this relief have been received from the districts concerned?

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. Reports received from the British organisations in the famine area show that the results have been entirely satisfactory.

asked the Prime Minister whether the Government adheres to its decision to make no contribution for the provision of food for the starving peasants of Russia?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

This question was very fully dealt with in the Debate of the 17th March last and also in reply to questions on the subject. I have nothing to add to what has already been said, but I presume that the hon. and gallant Gentleman has not forgotten that of the £200,000 voted by this House £180,000 was given in foodstuffs, the rest being medical stores.
