HC Deb 04 March 1919 vol 113 c242W
Captain TUDOR REES

asked the Secretary of State for War whether before the War certain warrant officers of the armament artificers' section, Royal Army Ordnance Corps, were not allowed to complete twenty-five years' continuous service, and were compulsorily retired at the end of twenty-one years' service with the minimum pension of 3s. 6d. per day; and whether he will allow the service of those who re-enlisted and served in the present War to be added to their previous twenty-one years' service in the computation of pension?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to my reply on Wednesday last to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Wycombe, in which I explained that these warrant officers have been drawing their pension in addition to their pay throughout their extra service, and that, in such cases, the Regulations do not permit of any increase of pension in respect of the extra service.
