asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in considering the question of Imperial Preference, he will bear in mind the possibility of encouraging the growth of hops in our Colonies by giving them a preferential tariff?

Preference is to be given on duties now or hereafter existing, but there is at the present time no duty on hops.
