HC Deb 14 February 1918 vol 103 cc300-1W
Mr. HAYDN JONES

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been directed to the article of the military reporter of the "Morning Post" which appeared on Monday last; and, seeing that this article was of a nature to promote discord and want of confidence in this country towards our Ally the French Republic and having regard to the fact that Mr. Bertrand Russell has been recently sentenced to imprisonment for a similar offence, whether he intends to take any proceedings under the Defence of the Realm Act against the proprietors and the military reporter of the "Morning Post"?

Sir G. CAVE

I would refer the hon. Member to the statement made by the Chancellor of the Exchequer yesterday.
