§ . Mr. WARDLEAs regards the first part of this question, I would refer the hon. Gentleman to the detailed account of the operations of the Canal Control Committee, given in the "Board of Trade Journal" for the 10th January, of which I am sending him a copy. As regards the second part, I am afraid I cannot add to the reply given on the subject to the hon. and gallant Member for Gloucester on the 14th November by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Reconstruction.
