HC Deb 19 April 1917 vol 92 cc1853-4W

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War, in regard to an attested man who was rejected after the 13th July, 1917, as unfit for any form of military service, but who was refused a certificate of discharge at that time and did not receive a certificate of discharge for several months, which will be regarded as the date of his discharge for the purpose of the Military Service (Review of Exceptions) Act, the date of his rejection or the date when a certificate of discharge was issued to him?

asked whether, under the new Military Service Act, the relief from further medical examination for six months after their last medical examination granted to all men of military age dates from the date of medical examination or from the date when the man received his discharge papers resulting from such medical examination?

I will send to my hon. Friends an extract from Instructions consequent on the Military Service (Review of Exceptions) Act, which will give them the information which they require.
