§ Sir WILLIAM BULLasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received information that the Egyptian vernacular paper "El Alam" was suppressed under the provisions of the Press Law, 1909; and whether he has received information that the proprietors of "El Akum," amongst whom were Ferid Bey, Sheikh Shawish, received permission within a fortnight of the suppression of "El Alam" to issue a new vernacular paper under the name of "El Shá áb" (The People).
