HC Deb 20 April 1910 vol 16 cc2277-8W
Mr. CLOUGH

asked the President of the Board of Education whether the reassessment of the public elementary school accommodation in the area of the West Riding local education authority has yet been completed; and, if so, whether he can say when the result of the reassessment will be communicated by the Board to the local education authority?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I regret to say that the Board have not yet received the figures for all the West Riding schools from His Majesty's inspectors, and I cannot say when the re-assessment will be ready for communication to the local education authority. Every endeavour will be made to expedite the work, but it places a heavy Strain on the Board's officers, and I must ask for some indulgence.
