HC Deb 09 July 1909 vol 7 c1624W
Captain CRAIG

asked the Chief Secretary how many sanitary authorities in Ireland have, with the approval of the council in the county in which they are situated, adopted the Tuberculosis Prevention (Ireland) Act, 1908, or have given notice of their intention of so doing; and whether he can give a list showing the counties in which they are situated?

Mr. BIRRELL

This Act only came into force on the 1st instant. Part I. alone requires the formality of adoption, and the question of its adoption can only be considered after 14 clear days' notice. No such notice could yet have expired even if given on the earliest possible date.
