asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland what amount has been paid or promised to Mr. Hunter Moore for negotiating the sale of the Kilmorey estate, county Down, to the Estates Commissioners, and from the Estates Commissioners to the tenants; and what is the purchase money of the estate?

Mr. BIRRELL

No application has yet been received by the Land Commission from Mr. Hunter Moore for the payment of a fee under section 23 (11) of the Irish Land Act, 1903, for negotiating the sale of the Kilmorey estate under section 6 of that Act. The purchase money of the estate was £194,005.
