§ Lord HeskethMy Lords, perhaps I may now turn to matters of even greater importance. It may be for the convenience of the House to know that, subject to the progress of business, it is expected that the House will adjourn for the Summer Recess on Wednesday 28th July. It is expected that the House will sit at 11 a.m. on that day. It may also be for the convenience of the House to know that it is expected that the House will return on Monday 11th October, thus providing the opportunity for all of those noble Lords who wish to attend political festivities at various resorts the chance not to miss out.
§ Lord ShackletonMy Lords, can the noble Lord say whether the amendment of the noble Lord, Lord McIntosh of Haringey, will be discussed with the main Motion?
§ Lord HeskethMy Lords, the noble Lord, Lord Shackleton, is correct in his assumption. Perhaps I may draw the noble Lord's attention to the speakers' list. He will see there that the noble Lord, Lord McIntosh, is also incorporated in it.
I should also like to take the opportunity on behalf of the whole House to congratulate the noble Lord on his birthday.
