Clause 43 [For protection of Berkshire County Council]:

The Chairman of Committees (Lord Ampthill) moved the amendment: Page 25, line 17, after ("shall,") insert ("unless").

The noble Lord said: My Lords, copies of the amendment have been made available in the Printed Paper Office. This is purely a drafting amendment to correct an obvious error in Clause 43 of the Bill, which is a clause for the protection of Berkshire County Council. I beg to move.

On Question, amendment agreed to.

The Chairman of Committees

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass.

Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(The Chairman of Committees.)

On Question, Bill passed, and returned to the Commons with amendments.
