§ Lord Carter asked Her Majesty's Government:
§ Whether milk which is unsold because of lead contamination will be deducted from the figure for national milk production when calculating production against quota to arrive at the figure for super-levy for the year to 31st March 1990.
§ The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington)EC Regulations require all milk delivered to a purchaser to be taken into account in assessing liability for supplementary levy. Milk which has been separately collected by the Milk Marketing Board under the Food and Environment Protection Act restrictions cannot be ignored for levy calculation purposes.
