The Earl of Avon

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 100. Subsection (5) of Clause 37 is the subsection which defines the authorities which are empowered to make management agreements in their areas. The Government's intention has been all along that the Greater London Council and the London Boroughs should come within this power, and Amendment No. 100 is a drafting amendment to place this beyond doubt.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Earl of Avon.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
