§ [Nos. 3 and 4]
§ Clause 10, page 7, line 10, leave out ("as registered in it").
§ Clause 10, Page 7, line 11, at end insert ("as registered in that register").
§ The LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 3 and 4. These are purely drafting Amendments designed to make the wording at the end of Clause 10(1) consistent with the wording at the end of Clause 10(1)(b).
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ The Earl of MANSFIELDMy Lords, this is a purely technical matter. Your Lordships will see that Amendment No. 3 reads:
page 7, line 10, leave out ("as registered in 17").1677 That is a misprint. It was Amendment No. 17 in the Committee proceedings in another place. It may be that there will now have to be a manuscript Amendment to rectify the position.
§ The LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, I am most grateful to the noble Earl for drawing my attention to that matter.
§ The Earl of MANSFIELDMy Lords, I am obliged to the noble and learned Lord.
§ The LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, so far as it goes, and subject to my undertaking, if what the noble Earl has said is true, I will see that the matter is rectified.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
