HL Deb 23 October 1956 vol 199 c908
LORD OGMORE

My Lords, I beg to ask the second Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they have any statement to make on the recent disturbances in Hong Kong.]

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (LORD LLOYD)

My Lords, my right honourable friend hopes to be able to make a statement to-morrow in another place about the recent disturbances in Hong Kong. I shall, with permission, make a similar statement in your Lordships' House.
