Clause 8, page 10, line 26, leave out ("a") and insert ("an effective").

My Lords, this Amendment makes it clear that the harbour authority is not required to receive untreated oily water unless it has been subjected not only to separation treatment but to effective treatment. I think this Amendment makes the matter quite clear, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in this Amendment.
