Clause 11, page 13, line 43, after ("property") insert ("seized from Germany")

Clause 11, page 13, line 46, leave out ("as property seized from Germany")

Clause 11, page l4, line 20, after ("was") insert ("seized from Germany and was")

Clause 11, page l4, line 22, leave out ("as property seized from Germany")

LORD MANCROFT

My Lords, these four Amendments, which all go together, were made by the Government in another place to make it clear that the clause covered only property seized from Germany. These were made in answer to a point raised both in your Lordships' House and in another place. Her Majesty's Government came to the conclusion that the difficulties expressed were reasonable, and introduced these Amendments to clear up the point. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.

Moved, That this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.— (Lord Mancroft.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
