HL Deb 29 July 1947 vol 151 cc700-1

Clause 39, page 48, line 29, after ("that") insert ("the carriage of goods in a vehicle authorised for use under a licence granted under subsection (1) of Section seven of the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933")

The Commons disagreed to this Amendment for the following Reason: Because there are not sufficient grounds for making the exception granted by the said Amendment.

VISCOUNT ADDISON

My Lords, this is a restrictive Amendment about which we had considerable discussion, and as the other place is not able to accept it I move that we do not insist.

Moved, That this House do not insist on the Amendment to which the Commons have disagreed.—(Viscount Addison.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
