HL Deb 29 July 1947 vol 151 c701

Clause 39, page 48, line 32, after ("meat") insert ("the carriage of milk")

Clause 39, page 66, line 19, after ("livestock") insert ("or milk")

Clause 39, line 19, at end, insert—("or (c) the vehicle is a vehicle authorised for use under a licence granted under subsection (I) of Section seven of the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933; or")

The Commons disagreed to these Amendments for the following Reason:

Because there are not sufficient grounds for making exceptions granted by the said Amendments.

VISCOUNT ADDISON

These are all the same type of restrictive Amendment, limiting the materials that a vehicle may carry which was objected to before in the other place. The other place has disagreed, and I move that we do not insist.

Moved, That this House do not insist on the said Amendments to which the Commons have disagreed.—(Viscount Addison.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
