HL Deb 15 November 1934 vol 94 cc476-7

Page 9, line 28, at end, insert: ( ) A standing joint committee who receive any sum in respect of fees paid under this section shall pay, or account for, that sum to the county council represented on the committee.

THE MARQUESS OF LONDONDERRY

My Lords, as the county council defray the expenses of the standing joint committee, obviously the committee should pay or account to the county council for any fees received by the committee in its capacity as licensing authority. The present Amendment which effects this purpose is really formal in character, as in fact the standing joint committee would hand over any fees to the county council. I beg to move that we agree with the Commons in this Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Marquess of Londonderry.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
