HL Deb 30 June 1921 vol 45 c933

The Clerk of the Parliaments informed the Committee that he proposed, with their sanction, to increase the salary of the Accountant (whose present salary was fixed at £200, rising by £15 a year, to £500), to £300, rising by £40 a year, to £500. In view of the responsible character of, and the great increase in, the Accountant's work, the Committee recommend that this increase in the Accountant's salary should be sanctioned—such increase to date as from the commencement of the current financial year and the annual increment as from the date of appointment, namely, the 1st of June.
