HL Deb 30 June 1921 vol 45 c933

The Committee considered a report from the Refreshment Sub-Committee. In this report the Sub-Committee stated that there had been a deficit of £210 on the year's working and recommended that the annual subsidy to the caterer should be increased from £450 to £500. They hoped that this addition to the subsidy, together with certain savings which could be made in small items, and the increased profits which were to be anticipated from the supply of refreshments in the lower refreshment room would result in this deficit being wiped out during the current year.
