HL Deb 27 August 1914 vol 17 c543

Brought from the Commons.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 1ª.—(Viscount Allendale.)

On Question, Bill read 1ª, and to be printed.

VISCOUNT ALLENDALE

My Lords, a Moratorium was established by Proclamation in the Isle of Man in the same way as in the United Kingdom, but the Postponement of Payments Act did not apply to the Isle of Man. This Bill remedies that defect and enables any of the other emergency measures to be applied to the Isle of Man.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2ª.—(Viscount Allendale.)

On Question (Standing Order No. XXXIX having been suspended) Bill read 2ª: Committee negatived: Bill read 3ª and passed. (No. 265.)
