HL Deb 31 March 1908 vol 187 c247

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (The Earl of PORTSMOUTH)

My Lords, I do not intend to weary the House with any speech on this occasion. There is absolutely nothing new in principle in this Bill, and I beg formally to move that it be read a second time.

Moved, "That the Bill be now read 2a."—(The Earl of Portsmouth.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House To-morrow.
