HL Deb 15 August 1904 vol 140 c541

Bill read 3a (according to order).

THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (The Earl of SELEORNE)

My Lords, before this Bill passes I have a verbal Amendment to move which is consequential upon an Amendment made in the other House and which was omitted by accident. As they stand the words are meaningless.

Amendment moved to the Bill— In Clause 5, Sub-clause 1, lines 1 and 2, to leave out the words 'except with respect to the grant of licences.'"—(The Earl of Selborne.)

On Question, Amendment agreed to.

Bill passed, and returned to the Commons.
