HL Deb 22 May 1903 vol 122 c1457
THE EARL OF CAMPERDOWN

Seeing the noble Lord the Secretary for Scotland in his place, I wish to repeat a Question which I put to him the other day, namely, whether His Majesty's Government will introduce their Bill for the regulation of the speed of motorcars in this House.

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND(Lord BALFOUR Of BURLEIGH)

In answer to the noble Earl's Question I have to inform him and the House that I have fulfilled my pledge and have consulted the President of the Local Government Board on the subject. My colleague is quite willing that the Bill should originate in this House, and will endeavour to have it presented on as early a day as possible after the Whitsuntide recess.
