Rules made by the Secretary for Scotland: (l) Appointing police cells at Dunoon, in the county of Argyll, to be a legal prison for the detention of prisoners for a period not exceeding three days before, or during, or after trials; (2) The new prison, lately erected at Inverness, a legal place of detention for all description of criminal and civil prisoners, and providing that all rules and orders applicable to the present prison of Inverness shall be applicable to the said new prison; (3) As to the appointment of a visiting Committee to the police cells prison at Dunoon.

Laid before the House (pursuant to Act), and ordered to lie on the Table.
