Earl Bathurst

moved that the address delivered by the Lieutenant Governor of Lower Canada to the House of Assembly, at its recent meeting, should be laid before their Lordships.

Lord Goderich

said, that he had no objection to the production of the document; but if the noble Earl wished also to have the instructions under which the address was made, he should think it his duty to oppose the Motion.

Earl Bathurst

had no wish for the instructions.

Motion for the Address agreed to.
