It is about the late great John Charles, the Welsh footballer. The petition has 703 signatures, and has been supplemented by 440 names on the Wales on Sunday website.

Declares that the late John Charles made a huge contribution to football, sportsmanship and to Wales and that 703 people have recognised this and supported the petition through a newspaper campaign.The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urge the Prime Minister to recommend the late John Charles for a posthumous knighthood.And the Petitioners remain, etc.To lie upon the Table.
