§ Queen's recommendation having been signified—
§ Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52(1)(a) (Money resolutions and ways and means resolutions in connection with Bills),
§ That for the purposes of any Act resulting from the European Parliamentary and Local Elections (Pilots) Bill it is expedient to authorise—
§ (1) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—
§ (a) any expenses of the Secretary of State in making arrangements for the purposes of the Act in connection with the holding of the European Parliamentary general election of 2004;
§ (b) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums so payable under any other enactment.
§ (2) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of any increase attributable to the Act in the sums which under any other Act are payable out of that Fund.—[Ruth Kelly.]
