§ Mr. John Horam (Orpington)I would like to present a petition on behalf of nearly 6,000 customers of Farrants pharmacy in Petts Wood, the Elmfield 1168 pharmacy in Biggin Hill, the Crofton road pharmacy and two pharmacies in Cotmandene crescent, St. Paul's Cray.
The petition declares:
That the Office of Fair Trading Report on Pharmacies poses a serious threat to community pharmacies, which will in turn disadvantage the sick, the elderly and the vulnerable.The Petitioners request that the House of Commons urges the Government to reject the recommendations of the Office of Fair Trading Report, so allowing community pharmacies to continue their valuable role in providing local healthcare in an accessible way.The Petitioners remain etc.To lie upon the Table.
