Queen's recommendation having been signified—

Motion made, and Question put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 53 (1)(a) (Money resolutions and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Industrial Development (Financial Assistance) Bill, it is expedient to authorise any increase in sums paid out of money provided by Parliament attributable to provisions of the Act—

  1. (a)increasing the sum of £1,900 million specified in section 8(5) of the Industrial Development Act 1982 to £3,700 million, and
  2. (b)increasing the sum of £200 million so specified to £600 million.—[Gillian Merron.]
