HC Deb 12 March 2002 vol 381 c862 10.28 pm
Mr. Humfrey Matins (Woking)

I am honoured to present a petition initiated and organised by my Woking constituent, Mrs. Eriksson-Hills, of Goldsworth Park, Woking, to whom many congratulations are due. This petition has been signed by more than 3,000 people and, in the petition, they request a change to legislation to allow free prescriptions for all transplant patients to fall into line with other patients who receive free prescriptions.

The petition concludes: The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urge the Secretary of State for Health to review as a matter of urgency the ailments to which the concession on prescription charges applies and to extend the scope of this concession to include the category of transplant patients.

To lie upon the Table.
