§ Order for Second Reading read.
§ Simon Hughes (Southwark, North and Bermondsey)On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. Many of us are used to this end-of-term cull of good prospective legislation—[HON. MEMBERS: "Oh."]—by the Government. To which Committee would we refer the question whether we could make the Government give reasons for objections when they make them?
Mr. Deputy SpeakerThe only advice that I can give the hon. Gentleman is that he might take this up with the Procedure Committee. I am sure that the Chairman would be pleased to hear from him.
