Amendments made: No. 43, in page 7, line 5, after "pay" insert— 'in respect of any period'.

No. 44, in page 8, line 20, leave out from "choose" to "as" in line 22 and insert— to receive statutory paternity pay in respect of—

  1. (i) a period of a week, or
  2. (ii) two non-consecutive periods of a week,
such week or weeks within the qualifying period'.

No. 45, in page 8, line 24, leave out "is the" and insert— 'shall be determined in accordance with regulations, which shall secure that it is a'.
