§ Mr. Bob Laxton (Derby, North)I wish to present a petition sent to me by one of my constituents, Sue Williams, on behalf of AFFA—All Fireworks Frighten Animals. It is from the residents of Derby, Harrow, Wembley and other places and declares that
animals face unnecessary terror for weeks surrounding 5 November due to the indiscriminate use of fireworks.The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons pass legislation to place further restricts on the sale of fireworks to the general public.And the petitioners remain, etc.
