Queen's Resommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Finance Bill, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of sums payable by the Secretary of State by virtue of provisions of that Act relating to vehicle excise and registration;
  2. (b) the deduction of sums from the gross revenues of the department of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue for the purpose of making payments in respect of the surrender of losses the amounts of which are determined by reference to expenditure incurred in connection with the remediation of contaminated land; and
  3. (c) any increase in the sums—
    1. (i) payable out of the National Loans Fund or out of money provided by Parliament, or
    2. (ii) payable into the National Loans Fund or the Consolidated Fund,
    that is attributable to any provisions of that Act relating to limits on the borrowing and public dividend capital of trading funds.

Bill ordered to be brought in upon the foregoing resolutions: And that the Chairman of Ways and Means, Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Secretary Prescott, Mr. Secretary Straw, Mr. Secretary Blunkett, Mr. Secretary Darling, Mr. Secretary Byers, Mr. Secretary Milburn, Mr. Andrew Smith, Dawn Primarolo, Miss Melanie Johnson and Mr. Stephen Timms do prepare and bring it in.
