Queen's recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That the following provision shall be made with respect to the salaries of Members of this House—

  1. (1) In respect of service in the period starting with 20th June 2001 and ending with 31st March 2002 the salary of a Member shall be increased by £2,000 per annum.
  2. (2) That salary shall be increased by a further £2,000 per annum from 1st April 2002.
  3. (3) The increases referred to above shall be additional to any increase resulting from the operation of paragraph (2) of the Resolution of this House of 10th July 1996.—[Mr. Robin Cook.]
